A 27 year old Newmarket, Ontario man, was arrested around 1AM on Sunday morning for driving while intoxicated after having been pulled over for speeding in the Innisfil area. Given his phone call he senselessly contacted his mother for her to bail him out.
Local police though, say that the 53 year old woman who showed up to pick up her son, also smelled like alcohol. After giving her a breathalyzer test, she was also arrested for driving drunk as she had driven herself to the police station.
Ironically, it was the same police officer that executed both arrests.
Both have had their vehicles impounded and licenses suspended for 90 days. They are due in court next month, hopefully they’ll take a cab there.
