End of the world billboards prompt sassy billboard retort

Although a large part of this author really hopes that a bunch of people raised enough money to raise this billboard somewhere near Harold Camping’s Oakland headquarters – something tells me it is just a quick and easy Photoshop effort.

For the record, the Gimp traces in the file properties are mine: it was a screen grab from the Facebook pic of a friend of a friend, who got it from somewhere else – a typical Interwebs chain of custody. Gimp was only used for cropping at this end, but I have no idea what happened to it before that.

Now back to Camping – it has been suggested that we (or I) have been a little mean with how we have handled my writings the dear reverend. Personally, I do not think I have been enough. He is either a crackpot or a fraud, who has convinced a lot of people to part with significant amounts of money to erect a bunch of stupid billboards all over the United States.

–Thanks Boo-chan!
