Here honey, get in the suitcase. I’m sure you’ll fit.
That might have been the conversation just before Juan Ramirez decided he was going to try to break out of a Mexican jail. After a conjugal visit with his girlfriend, he hid inside the woman’s suitcase and she tried to wheel him out into freedom.
Plans were thwarted after guards became suspect of the bulky bag and the nervous woman (I mean who’s nervous after a conjugal visit?)
Guards stopped Ramirez’s girlfriend and opened the bag to find him in fetal position inside wearing only his underwear and socks. Both now face criminal charges.
It’s just one of those ideas that looks good on paper but doesn’t pan out.
Next time try a hard top suitcase. They won’t see the bulge then. [Reuters]
