School Fires Female Teacher For Getting Pregnant Before Marriage, Then Hires Her Fiance

Prepare to enter the Medieval Ages.

A 29-year old teacher in California is suing her former employers, San Diego Christian College, because they fired her for being pregnant and unmarried. She was engaged at the time to her now husband. And the school offered him a job after she was let go even though it was obvious he was the father of the unborn baby and was also guilty of having per-marital sex.

The school made no attempts to hide the fact that they were firing Terri James for having sex before marriage and she says being called into the principals office was nothing short of embarrassing.

I was unmarried, pregnant and they took away my livelihood,” James said at a press conference, as reported in the Huffington Post.

James does admit she signed a contract that had a two-page clause forbidding staff from “sexually immoral behavior including premarital sex.” Seeing as how she was engaged and getting married perhaps to her this wasn’t “sexually immoral.”  James also explains she didn’t think much of it at the time.

“I needed a job in this economy and so I never thought that anything would happen,” James explained to Today.

However, this is not the only time women in the US have been fired from Christian schools for having sex before marriage. This might be the first time the same school offered a job (possibly the same one) to the fiance of the woman they humiliated.  Because the premarital sex clause is only for women right? *rolls eyes*   [ Picture ]
