We’ve heard of people suing fast food restaurants for making them fat. Now it’s the lawsuit from the man in Nashville against Apple the company for not putting porn filters on their products to protect people from watching porn.
Collectively now… wtf?
Seriously, Chris Sevier is a lawyer who has filed a 50-page complaint against the creators of Macs, iPads, iPods and more claiming that it is because of them he’s got an addiction to pornography that just can’t be tamed.
According to the documents (and paraphrased) Sevier claims he accidentally typed in fuckbook.com instead of facebook.com and because he’s a man who can’t help his hormones from getting all riles up once he sees even one of those images, he couldn’t stop watching. Apparently this watching got out of hand and as far as he’s concerned he’s not responsible at all. It’s all his computer’s fault.
Along with unspecified compensation for damages he incurred (probably a sore wrist) he’s demanding Apple be forced to put porn filters on all devices sold in the U.S. which can only be removed by a written request from someone who’s 18 or older. Apparently Sevier thinks neither him nor any of his fellow Americans should be held responsible for their desire to watch porn. They need to be protected y’all cause they ain’t got no will power.
Life is grand when you don’t have to be accountable for anything, isn’t it? [ Source]
